Dryv in ChatGPT and Claude

Ask ChatGPT or Claude for a car and Dryv answers with cars for sale at South African dealerships right now: the photo, price, mileage, town, dealership and a link to each one. It can also show the new car specials dealerships are running.

You can search by make, model, body type, new, demo or used, price range in rand, year, mileage, gearbox, fuel, province or town.

Add Dryv to Claude

Once Dryv is listed in Claude's connector directory, open Customize, then Connectors, search for Dryv and select Connect. Until then, add it yourself in under a minute:

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Select Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Dryv and paste this address: https://dryv.co.za/mcp/claude
  4. Dryv needs no sign-in. Select Add, then Connect.
  5. Ask a car question that mentions Dryv. The first time, Claude asks your permission to use Dryv's search: select Allow.

Use Dryv in ChatGPT

Dryv has been submitted to ChatGPT's plugin directory and is waiting for OpenAI's review. Once it is listed, type @Dryv in a chat, choose Dryv, and ask your question.

What Dryv does, and what it does not

  • Dryv searches the cars on sale at dealerships on Dryv, the same results as a search on dryv.co.za/cars, and the new car specials Dryv reads from each dealership's own website every day.
  • It only reads. It does not send enquiries, book test drives, value your car or quote finance.
  • To contact a dealership, open the car on dryv.co.za. The enquiry form, its consent and the dealership's details are there.
  • Prices and stock change during the day. Confirm the price and that the car is still available with the dealership.

What Dryv receives

Dryv receives only the search you asked for, such as a make, model, price range, province or town, and the technical details needed to answer it. Dryv does not receive your name, email address, phone number or the rest of your conversation, and does not try to identify you from a search. OpenAI's and Anthropic's own privacy policies cover your conversation. Section 7 of Dryv's Privacy Policy has the details.
